How to Keep Warm - and Raise Funds for the Restoration... Selling logs has proved to be an excellent way to raise funds for the restoration over the 4 months to March 2010. There are 3 sale options available: 1. Log net Minimum order of 5 to qualify for free delivery (see below*). These nets weigh approx 20/22Kg when delivered, drying out to approx 15Kg – or at least twice the weight of those on offer at garages and other similar outlets 2. Trailer A – approx 36 cu ft (That's twice the size of Trailer A - plus 22%!) The wood is predominantly willow, unseasoned and should be laid down for a while before using so it has the opportunity to dry out. It is only suitable for open fires if they are particularly well guarded, however it burns really well on a log burning stove as I can testify from my own experiences. The logs come in all shapes and sizes but are being cut and chopped so that they are no more than 9/10 inches (23/25cm) long. *There is a free local delivery service available within an approximate 15-mile radius of the Trust's Western Depot Eastington (GL10 3RT for calculation purposes via Google Maps, if required). A charge per additional mile will be considered for deliveries outside this area. If you would like to join the growing list of satisfied customers please email David Pagett with your name, address, phone number(s) and order - or give him a ring on 01452 505322. A sample of customers' reactions received so far: "Just want to say that I think the log selling/fundraising idea is fantastic! What great common sense." (LT)
