RICHARD ATTWOOD'S WAG TIME BAND There's a Works Action Group meeting on the 20th March at the Heritage Centre Saul, starting 7.30p.m. Discussion and progress reports for all volunteers interested and involved in practical restoration. oOo HEAD EAST The following evening there's an Eastern Branch meeting, that's the 21st March at the Trout Inn, Lechlade as usual, cast off 7.30p.m. As usual. oOo OR GO WEST The next Western Branch meeting is on the 2nd April at Fromebridge Mill as usual, cast off 7.30p.m. As usual. oOo SITS VAC (1) Waterway Recovery Group - known affectionately as the WRGies - provides valuable support to us and other Canal Restoration Societies throughout the land. As a result of many opportunities opening up for volunteer work along the whole length of the Cotswold Canals, the Trust is keen to appoint one or more people to liaise with visiting volunteer groups such as WRG. oOo SITS VAC (2) Have you some experience in Project Management? If so then this is the one for you. Have a look at http://www.pikelock.co.uk/canal/t&scanal/eysey/eyseywpo.html, a website page set up by Ken Burgin, the Trust's Vice Chairman, to track down a coordinator for an exciting restoration project towards the Eastern End of the Thames & Severn Canal. oOo SITS VAC NO MORE I am delighted to report that we could well have filled the vacancies advertised in ENews 32 for a Press Officer & a Quartermaster. oOo CLEAN THE CUT BW's National Towpath Tidy campaign starts in week commencing 26th March. As part of this years Campaign the Stroudwater's towpath is to receive attention, specifically between Ebley Mill and Pike Lock. This will happen on Wednesday 28th March, meeting 1pm at Ebley Mill. Park at Ebley and there will be some vehicles left at Pike Lock to ferry people back and forth. oOo HAVE YOU UPDATED YOURS YET? There you will find information about the next of Alan Jones' highly effective fortnightly sessions, suffice it to say here that it takes place on the 25th March and all are welcome. oOo SHORT NOTICE I understand that Project Stroud are holding an exhibition cum talk cum discussion on proposals for linking Stroud to the canal, including the possibility of a Marina at Capels Mill.
